Naming Ceremonies

Baby Naming & Coming of Age

A naming ceremony is non-religious. It gives parents the opportunity to gather with family and friends to welcome their child into the family. It joins families together and is a fabulous way to welcome adopted children and step-children from previous relationships into new a new union.

As a Celebrant I will spend time getting to know the whole family so we can conduct a ceremony which is personal and meaningful. Together we will discuss promises, readings, poems and music that you may like. We can also discuss rituals that bond families together. Such as tree planting, sand blending, candle lighting or hand and foot printing.

Rather than God Parents you will be able to choose Guide Parents who will make special promises to your child/children and help and support them as they grow. Grandparents can also make promises. This is a lovely opportunity to involve people who are special to you as part of the ceremony.
