Funerals & Memorial Services

Create a Meaningful Tribute to Celebrate a Life Well Lived

Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of the hardest things we face, and as a professional celebrant, I am here to help ease that burden with compassion, warmth, and understanding.

Funerals

I conduct funerals that are fully personalised to honour the individual who has passed away. My philosophy is that funerals are for the living, but they honour the deceased. Planning a funeral can feel overwhelming, especially when you are grieving. I aim to take as much stress off your shoulders as possible. I will guide you through each decision with patience and care. I handle the ceremony logistics and coordination, so you don’t have to worry.

Direct Cremations, Celebrations of Life & Memorials

It’s important to remember that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to say goodbye. In addition to traditional funeral services, I also help families plan alternative memorials and celebration-of-life ceremonies. For instance, some people choose a Direct Cremation (a private cremation with no service at the time) and then later hold a Memorial Service or Celebration of Life to gather friends and family for a tribute.

Fully Personalised Ceremonies

  • Coordinating with your funeral director
  • Bespoke ceremony script & eulogy
  • Choosing meaningful music & readings
  • Adding rituals & special touches
  • Slideshow of photos
  • Memory table

My goal is to create that level of personal connection in every service, because your loved one deserves nothing less.

I’m available for a chat if you’d like to discuss any “funeral wishes” or pre-planning, handled of course with sensitivity and discretion.

No matter the circumstance, my approach to end-of-life ceremonies is always the same: every ceremony is handled with utmost care, empathy, and personalisation. I know how important this final goodbye is, and I am dedicated to getting every detail right.

"Trish, we cannot thank you enough for helping us put together Dad’s Funeral Service. It was so comforting to work with you. Not only did you advise and act with first-class professionalism, but your warmth and sincerity supported me and gave me the confidence I needed to compose and deliver very personal words. One of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. At all times, I trusted that you had everything in hand, even down to the finest detail requested, playing the music of Aka Bilk! So touching. Once again, Trish, Many, many thanks for holding my hand – I couldn’t have done it without you. You do amazing work. Such a great gift. It has helped Mum, the family and me to grieve with tears and laughter…and there’s no better way. Will not hesitate to recommend you to all my family and friends, Trish. Bless you."

"This may be quite overdue, but I would really like to say thank you to Trish and the directors on behalf of the family. You gave a brilliant send-off for a much-loved member of our family. Thanks for reading out all of our tributes, a lot of thought went into every one. I'm really grateful for you reading out my poem; I like how you read it with a glint in your eye which Grandad would have appreciated. The poem I quoted felt very fitting, as Grandad really did "rage, rage against the dying of the light". Before the funeral, I was worried about how everyone would be, but it turned out to be a happy occasion. A lovely day with family. We decided as a family to alter the norms and traditions. I enjoyed seeing the cardboard coffin with our photos and drawings. You gave him a special goodbye from all of us."
